I’ve been making custom stained glass table tops for over a decade, and I love it as my creative outlet.
Each table is lovingly handmade and an original.
THE PROCESS
I will either work with a table my customer owns and loves and wants to take to the next level (if it’s a local order) but most often I will use a table that has been gently used and no longer wanted and I repurpose it that when I’m finished looks and is downright new!
I love to pick up old tables or antique tables, desks, night stands or just ones that look different.

I can do pretty much any kind of table (plant stand, desk, night stand and some custom counter tops) and I do look for tables that have character and look interesting, not just something that is mass produced, though I can do those too if that is your preference.

When a client calls or messages me wanting a unique gift or just wants a statement piece for themselves, I will email them the current stock of tables I have and let them choose, or if the want something different I will attempt to find what they want.
Then I will ask them what kind of theme they would like, such as a current family pet table or a memorial table for a pet who has passed, or a religious theme or patriotic theme or whatever you the customer wants. stained glass designs
FINAL STEPS
Then I ask what color/colors they primarily want me to use.
Once we’ve established the size and type table/tables wanted, then I go right to work on the design. Once I have a design down, I will take a photo and send it to the client for approval. Once it’s been approved, I get the table primed and ready, and I start cutting out the pieces of stained glass. Each piece is painstakingly hand cut. Once I have all the pieces I need, I glue them. Once the glue has dried, the next step is grouting the table.
This step, like cutting the glass pieces, is very laborious but at the same time, I start seeing the table coming together and it’s so worth the intensive labor! Just makes me so happy!
Next I spend time cleaning each and every stained glass piece until it sparkles and shines!The last step is to seal the tabletop so spills are easy to clean up and table protected.I look over the table carefully and do any touch up’s any dings needed before I seal the wooden legs or base and I will notify you that your table is finished.
At that point I can send you a photo of your finished table, or you can choose to be surprised and we’ll talk about shipping or pickup options.
